| DESIGN
FOR LIVING This time around we created a room right out of
your down home homestead circa 1968 - complete with hot pink walls
and orange accents. The combination of country details, proportions
and accents and mod poppish colors brings the room to life.
We also distressed a hutch with hot pink paint applied with crackle
finish (achieved with sodium silicate) and under coats of orange and
turquoise and then further distressed it by applying brown paint to
the edges and corners using wood blocks to create the effect of the
hutch having been knocked around a bit during a long life.
