Cut the fabric into shapes like flowers, clouds, or what ever you'd like to represent in your piece and place them on a larger rectangular piece you've cut out as a background. You can sew them in place with a button or just glue them down. After you've finished the composition you can embellish with embroidery, beading or any other decorative technique if you like, or just leave it as it is. This sort of project is very therapeutic and helps pass the time in a constructive way that leaves you with something to show for your afternoon spent cooped up at home.
