| WHY
DIDN'T YOU THINK OF THAT? Want your hydrangeas to sport a
different hue? Put a few rusty nails in the soil and they'll turn
blue, sprinkle some lime on the soil and they'll turn pink.
Going out of town and don't want your houseplants to suffer? Try
coiling a length of cotton clothesline (it must be cotton) around
the base of your plant, then putting the other end in a glass of water.
The wicking action will keep your plants moist until you return (or
the water in the glass is all gone, whichever comes first).
Put your small seeds in a squeeze bottle - the kind used for ketchup
or mustard. It will give you pin point accuracy when planting your
posies.
