Make Yourself At Home A warm bath "a deux" is a wonderfully romantic experience, especially when it's accompanied by a tub side feast. A few caveats however: always remember, safety first. Choose your serving utensils and vessels carefully, no one wants to hunt for a dropped fork or pick up broken glass from the bottom of the tub. Also, in choosing your food, remember that the less aromatic the better. Anything that is pungent will be that much more so in the steamy air of a warm bathroom, and the less crumb prone your food is the better. With those things in mind here are a few items that I think are perfect for a tub-side repast: Toasted pecans You'll need: -Cream cheese, whipped with milk or cream to make it spreadable Spread your cream cheese on a toasted pecan and top with another pecan. This "pecan sandwich" can also be made with seasoned cheeses, marzipan, or simply dust them with cinnamon sugar or even curry powder. Rollups are delicious and easy to eat. Here are a few options: -Roast beef rolled with spreadable blue cheese and sea salt -Ham and cream cheese rolled with frisee -Smoked salmon rolled with scallion cream cheese Olive tarts: Equal parts of: -Flour Preheat your over to 350 degrees. Then combine the flour, butter and cheese in a bowl and blend together using a pastry blender or a fork. Add a dash of cayenne. Drain your olives and pat them dry with a paper towel, then pinch off a bit of dough and mold it around the olive. Repeat until all olives are covered in dough. Bake for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. We featured our meal with Champagne presented on a tray with crudités. These foods are perfect hors d'oeuvres for a cocktail party as well!
