FOR LIVING What do you do if you need to have people over in the midst of renovation? Why not throw a painting party? It's such fun to do. For the dinner portion of the evening set up a table with saw horses and plywood covered with a canvas drop cloth for a tablecloth (Fig 1). Seating can be the large 5-gallon drums dry wall compound or paint comes in and decorations on the table can be improvised from plumbing fittings, paint brushes and rollers, clean shiny silver paint cans and lids and colorful paint chips (Fig. 2, 3, 4 & 5). Why, we even created a paint can chandelier! When it comes time to paint have your guests don coveralls you've customized with magic markers and go at the walls. You'll be surprised by how fast things get done!
